The Plainville Community Food Pantry, Inc. is a non-profit outreach agency that provides food, energy assistance, clothing, crisis intervention and referral services to individuals in need. In addition to its regular programs, the pantry offers special programs for the registered children of its adult clients for birthdays, holidays and back to school time. The PCFP also uses other resources at the community, state and federal levels. It is a host site for WIC, a federally funded Women, Infants and Children program. In addition, the pantry works in collaboration with Plainville Adult Education and works in partnership with the United Way. More information is available about other resources here.

During building closures, Municipal Office Staff will be available to assist residents and business owners by phone or email. - Plainville Food Pantry is closed to the public however,Food Pantry services and staff are available by appointment only for those already Qualified for services by appointments at this time please call 860-747-1919 and leave a message on the Food Pantry’s answering machine and someone will call you back.
The Food Pantry will provide basic food needs. For new clients Application forms must be completed in advance. To obtain forms and/or assistance completing the forms, please contact the Food Pantry (860-747-1919) or the following Town Staff during regular business hours:

You will be contacted when you can pick up your food. Arrangements will be made for delivery, if necessary.
On Wednesdays, residents can get basic food needs at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church (97 Broad Street) via drive-thru from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The entrance will be on Broad Street and exit onto Canal street
